How to care for stainless steel appliances

Check and cool. Read your model’s care guide. Work on a cool, compatible exterior surface. Test an inconspicuous area only where product use is permitted.
Clean or coat. Use Surface Revive for routine fingerprints and light grease. For Home Ceramic Coating, first remove dirt and cleaning residue and dry completely.
Wipe and finish. Use a clean microfiber cloth, follow the metal grain and buff evenly. For coating, allow 2 hours before use and 24 hours for full cure; keep dry during cure.
Maintain gently. Once fully cured, refresh compatible surfaces as needed. High-touch and frequently washed areas may need earlier recoating.

Exterior care only in this guide. Do not apply to hot surfaces, cooktops, oven or microwave interiors, food-contact areas, controls, vents, seals, floors or damaged finishes. Follow each product label and the appliance manufacturer’s restrictions.

Apply and let it cure.

Which Fixture Shield product should I use on stainless appliances?

Choose Home Ceramic Coating for longer-term protection on a clean, dry, compatible exterior. Choose Surface Revive to clean fingerprints, grease and light buildup while adding shine and light protection. Both require compatibility with the appliance finish.

Can I use Fixture Shield on black stainless steel?

Not as a blanket recommendation. Black stainless and fingerprint-resistant finishes can have factory coatings. Follow the appliance manual and confirm compatibility for your exact model before using either product. Where the manual allows only mild soap and water, follow it. A spot test does not override those restrictions.

What does the water-repellent finish do?

Home Ceramic Coating helps water bead and makes routine residue easier to remove from compatible surfaces. It also helps resist fingerprints and grime. Continue gentle care: mineral-containing water can still leave spots if droplets dry on the surface.

How long does Home Ceramic Coating last?

The brand’s claim is up to 12 months with proper preparation, application and care. High-touch and frequently wet or cleaned surfaces may need reapplication sooner. Surface Revive is a maintenance cleaner and does not carry the same duration claim.

Can Surface Revive go underneath a fresh ceramic coating?

Do not treat Surface Revive as a residue-free primer. It leaves light protection of its own. Prepare a fully clean, dry surface according to the Home Ceramic Coating directions, then use Surface Revive for compatible maintenance after the coating has fully cured.

Will these products repair scratches or peeling black stainless?

No. Neither product repairs deep scratches, corrosion, peeling factory finishes or permanently etched glass. Consult the appliance manufacturer or a qualified surface professional for repair advice.

Is Home Ceramic Coating made in the USA?

Yes. Fixture Shield Home Ceramic Coating is labeled Made in the USA. This origin statement refers to Home Ceramic Coating; we do not extend it to Surface Revive without product-specific documentation.

Can I use the coating on granite, tile or gold-tone faucets?

Home Ceramic Coating lists granite, marble, quartz and compatible tile among its uses. Confirm the existing sealer and finish. Gold-tone, PVD and matte black fixtures require finish-specific approval. Surface Revive lists sealed countertops and tile for routine care; verify the specific material rather than assuming both products share every use.

What is included with Home Ceramic Coating?

The Home Ceramic Coating kit includes an 8 oz bottle and a microfiber towel. Its label states coverage up to 1,000 square feet. Actual coverage depends on the surface and how much product is applied. This coverage claim does not apply to Surface Revive.
